A care team could include professionals like a doctor and nurses, a gender health expert, psychologist, and social worker. And if you can’t ask someone what their pronouns are, or you don’t feel comfortable doing so, avoid using pronouns. O’Hara says their family and friends still struggle with getting the pronouns right — and sometimes O’Hara struggles to remember others’ pronouns, too.

Ramachandran created an online survey posted in a group for people who identify as bigender. Out of the 32 participants, 14 participants reported involuntarily “switching” their gender identities daily, nine weekly, six monthly, and four several times a year. When people see me or hear my name, they usually assume I’m a woman and go by she/her pronouns. I do identify as a woman, but I also identify as nonbinary (yes, you can be both — more on that later) and use they/them pronouns as well.

What Are Non-Cisgender Relationships Like?

Here are five reasons why Queen B would be an excellent ruler. You decided we weren’t friends anymore when you stopped being my best friend, but expected me to be yours. You decided we weren’t friends anymore when you intentionally tried to hurt me because you felt justified in doing so.

Officials said Audrey Hale, a former student, entered the school Monday morning by shooting through a door on the side of the building. According to a 2021 study by the Williams Institute, an estimated 1.2 million American adults aged between 18 and 60 identify as non-binary, making up 11% of the LGBTQ population in that age bracket.
