Adeline was 34 years old and she was 4 months pregnant of her partner with whom she had been in a relationship for nearly three years. A private nurse, she lived near Limoges.

She will withdraw her complaint on March 6, 2019, but her companion will still be condemned on July 8 2019, to a one-month suspended sentence, the prosecution having continued.

In May, she goes to Royan to rest, and she realizes that he knows exactly where she is at every step of her journey. In the evening, he will call her in the hotel room. And will send him many text messages of insults. She will tell her parents that she was convinced that he had put a tracker on her phone.

Around June 15, Adeline, once again pregnant calls one of her friends to whom she confides that she is locked up at home and describes her distress: he is a violent man who regularly drinks. The parents would later discover photos of Adeline with bruises on her tablet.

Adeline sent an email to her companion on June 17, 2019, 2 months before she committed suicide “I never wanted it to end like this, for you to go through this, to suffer. I couldn’t stand the screaming, the crying, the beating, and then seeing the bruises and pain from our fights. It was necessary to put an end to this spiral”. (…) “Many situations have reminded me that nothing will happen, and that my womb is empty, like my heart, and my soul”.

The criminal conviction falls on July 8, 2019. He makes him pay his legal fees.

Shortly after, she leaves him, she wants to live this new pregnancy normally, without running the risk of a new miscarriage.

The weekend of August 15, he arrives at her home with his daughter. Adeline does not dare refuse to receive them.

On August 20, she called her brother and father and asked them to come and repair the serious damage in the house, broken phone, damaged doors.

On Saturday, August 24, around noon, Adeline called her parents and her sister Ludivine, and told them that he had spent the night harassing her with text messages. She tells them that she is at the end of her rope. Adeline’s sister, Ludivine, asked her to come to her house as they were celebrating her daughter’s second birthday. Adeline tells him that she prefers to rest.

This is the last time his family will talk to him. At 2:30 pm, she ended her life with drugs. On Monday, August 26, Adeline’s co-worker calls her father, worried because she didn’t come to work and this never happened.
